Returns and Refunds Policy

This policy sets out your rights to cancel, return and obtain a refund when you buy from Sword Tribe. It reflects your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in this policy affects those statutory rights.

1. Cancelling a pre-order before dispatch

Because our products are sold on a pre-order basis, there will usually be a period between placing your order and your order being dispatched. You may cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched and receive a full refund, including any amount paid towards the goods.

To cancel, email us at [email protected] with your order number. If you have already paid a shipping invoice for an order that has not yet been dispatched, that shipping charge will also be refunded.

2. Your 14-day right to cancel after delivery

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You do not need to give a reason.

You may open and inspect your items. You are entitled to handle the goods only as you reasonably would in a shop in order to examine them. Opening the packaging to inspect a knife does not remove your right to a refund.

To exercise this right, tell us within 14 days of delivery by emailing [email protected] with your order number, stating that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

3. Condition of returned goods

We ask that goods are returned in the same condition you received them, with any original packaging and sheaths included where possible. While you are entitled to inspect your items, please note:

If the value of the goods has been reduced because they have been handled more than was necessary to inspect them, for example if a knife has been thrown, used or damaged, we may reduce your refund to reflect that loss in value.

This does not apply to goods that are faulty or not as described, which are covered in section 6 below.

4. Return postage

For change-of-mind returns under your 14-day right to cancel, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as you are responsible for the goods until they reach us. Please note that bladed articles must be sent using a carrier that accepts them and in line with that carrier’s requirements.

Where goods are faulty, not as described, or sent in error, we will cover the cost of return. See section 6.

5. Refunds

Once we receive your returned goods and have checked their condition, we will process your refund within 14 days. Refunds are made to the original payment method used at checkout.

For a full cancellation, we refund the price you paid for the goods.

Where you chose delivery, we refund the basic cost of standard delivery. We are not required to refund any extra you chose to pay for a premium or faster service.

Where a refund is reduced due to the condition of returned goods, we will explain the reduction.

6. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

If your goods arrive faulty, damaged, or are not what you ordered, please contact us at [email protected] within a reasonable time of discovering the problem, with your order number and, where possible, photographs.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if goods are faulty you are entitled to a remedy. If you let us know within 30 days of receiving faulty goods, you are entitled to a full refund. After 30 days, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund. Where goods are faulty, not as described, or sent in error, we will cover the cost of return and will refund or replace the item as appropriate.

7. Items that may not be cancellable

Certain items are excluded from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, such as goods that have been made to your specification or clearly personalised. Where any such exclusion applies to a product, we will make this clear before you order. Your rights in relation to faulty goods are not affected.

8. Collection orders

If you chose to collect your order rather than have it delivered, the same cancellation and refund rights apply. The 14-day right to cancel runs from the day you collect your goods. You may also cancel for a full refund at any time before you collect.

9. Age-restricted products

Our products include bladed articles, which cannot be sold to anyone under the age of 18. If we cancel an order because we are not satisfied that the age requirement is met, you will receive a full refund of any amount paid.
